Yes Man

Based on Danny Wallaces very interesting book of the same name, this is the story or a man who starts to say Yes more. As you can probably guess from the title it’s a very upbeat film full of the joys of living your life and discovering what’s out there for you. I found Jim Carey gave a good lead as a man whose life was stagnating somewhat, and Zooey Deschanel was her normal irresistible self – I think it’s safe to say I’m somewhat a fan of her…

The film is good looking at the consequences of this new philosophy which when taken to extremes can have some darker undertones but any issues that these cause are shown to be resolved and overall the film moves along at a nice pace. I wouldn’t call it the greatest film I’ve ever seen, but it’s by no means the worst either – providing amusing entertainment on a Saturday evening.
